The Hermitage Center in Vladivostok
The Hermitage-Vladivostok Center will be located in the former building of the Kunst and Albers department store at 38/40 Svetlanskaya Street

The exhibition spaces of the Hermitage-Vladivostok Center will be located on the second floor, where exhibitions from the State Hermitage Museum's collection will be regularly displayed. The first floor will be occupied by administrative and service spaces, and the third floor will house a permanent exhibition of paintings from the Primorsky State Art Gallery (Museum). The attic floor will house an archive, a photo lab, a film and photo studio, and an editorial and publishing department

The Kunst & Albers Trading House forms a unified space with the adjacent building, the "City House," a regional cultural heritage site. It will house lecture and reading rooms, creative workshops, a café, and souvenir shops. A glass atrium will be constructed on the site of a 1930s extension to the City House to provide a transition between the buildings
The restoration project for the Kunst and Albers department store building involves restoring its historical appearance. In creating the project, the architects at Studio 44 were inspired by the Hermitage's most recognizable images—the Jordan Staircase, the Hanging Garden, and the enfilade layout of its halls. The built-up terraces on cast-iron columns facing the courtyard and the bricked-up openings will be uncovered, and the historical décor and finishes of the facades will be restored. Wooden windows and doors will replace the plastic infill

The center's building will meet all International Council of Museums (ICOM) standards for safety, environmental protection, and technical equipment. All public spaces at the Hermitage Vladivostok Center have been designed to accommodate visitors with disabilities, including those with visual impairments and those using wheelchairs
The Hermitage-Vladivostok center is scheduled to open in 2027. Currently, the Hermitage-Kazan, Hermitage-Vyborg, Hermitage-Ural, Hermitage-Siberia, and Hermitage-Eurasia centers are actively operating. In addition to Vladivostok, a Hermitage center is also being prepared for opening in Kaluga

The design for the future Hermitage center in Vladivostok was created by Studio 44, one of the country's most renowned architectural firms
